Terms of Service
1. General Information
BudgetMate is a subscription-based web application that allows users to record, organize, and track their expenses, income, saving, financial goals and plans. By using the application, you accept these Terms of Service.
2. Subscription and Payment
-
An active subscription is required to use the service.
-
Payments are processed via Stripe using a credit or debit card.
-
The Stripe customer portal can be accessed through the Settings/Subscription tab in the web application by clicking on the subscription card or the "Manage Subscription" button.
-
Users can update their billing information (name, address, phone number), update their payment method, or cancel their subscription through the Stripe customer portal.
-
If a subscription is canceled, it remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. The user retains access to the application until the end of the cycle, after which no further charges will be applied.
3. Account Deletion and Data Management
-
Users can delete their account at any time within the application through Settings/User Account/Delete My Account.
-
When an account is deleted, all recorded data (invoices, income, expenses, savings, goals, and plans) will be immediately, irreversibly, and permanently deleted from BudgetMate, Stripe, and Billingo. However, invoices already submitted to the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration via Billingo will be retained for 8 years in compliance with legal requirements.
-
Deleting an account will result in the immediate loss of access to the subscription.
-
If a user cancels only their subscription through the Stripe customer portal (accessible via Settings/Subscription/Manage Subscription card), previously recorded invoices, income, expenses, savings, goals, and plans will remain available, and the user can start a new subscription at any time.
4. Limitation of Liability
-
BudgetMate is intended solely for informational and financial organization purposes and does not constitute financial advice.
-
The service provider is not responsible for any damages resulting from the improper use of the application or data loss. Additionally, the provider is not liable for any interruptions in availability or system errors.
5. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
-
These Terms of Service are governed by Hungarian law.
-
In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to resolve any issues amicably through negotiation.
-
If a dispute cannot be resolved, the competent jurisdiction is the Hungarian court.
